Two-piece tanks at a glance

Check the dimensions of each section, the external joint flange and the space needed to assemble and seal the tank.

GRP means glass-reinforced plastic. Select the tank body, inlet arrangement and connection options as one complete specification.

Tank body Two moulded GRP sections with a horizontal joint.
Assembly Sections are joined and sealed in position using the agreed installation method.
Delivery check Check each section, including its flange, through doors, turns, stairs and hatches.
Support Support the complete base to the agreed tank drawing.
Access to retain Working room around the body joint, above the cover and at serviceable fittings.

Check route and joint access

  • Check each section, including its flanges, through the entire route.
  • Allow working room to align, seal and bolt the horizontal joint.
  • Agree assembly, sealing, testing and commissioning responsibilities.

Before installation

  • Follow the agreed support drawing; your structural designer confirms the full filled load.
  • Keep the cover, valves, overflow, drain and instruments accessible.
  • Compare sectional storage if the body or sections cannot be delivered or assembled.

Check the usable capacity

Nominal litres describe the listed tank size. Inlet, overflow and outlet arrangements set the water you can use. Review the DP model and connections in the detailed calculator.

Nominal: listed brim-full capacity.
Actual: water up to the top level.
Usable: water between the operating limits.

DP internal sizes are approximate. Decca confirms the final model, construction and levels.

Common questions

No. Two-piece describes a tank body divided into two joining sections. The cover is a separate feature. Check the construction shown on the selected product drawing.

Check the actual dimensions of each section, including flanges, and the complete delivery route. A reduced section height does not necessarily reduce its length or width.

Selection, manufacture and installation support

Decca helps select the model and fittings, reviews your drawing and delivery route for the two moulded sections and their assembly joint, and manufactures the agreed tank. Ask us to include installation if required; the quotation will define that work and any testing, cleaning, disinfection and handover in our scope.

Your two-piece preference carries through. Add any location, timing, access or approval details you have.
