Confirm what the tank supplies
Identify the outlets and equipment connected to the storage system. Do not use a guest-room count as a complete description of the building’s demand.
HOSPITALITY / VARIABLE OCCUPANCY
GRP cold water tanks for hotels, gyms and leisure venues. Decca helps match the tank construction and installation to your project.

Room occupancy is only part of the brief. Identify the cold water services being supplied and assess kitchens, laundry and changing facilities as applicable. Swimming-pool balance or treatment duties require their own review.
| Guest services | Occupancy patterns and concentrated morning/evening use. |
|---|---|
| Other loads | Kitchens, laundry, staff and changing-room facilities. |
| Events | Short demand peaks and simultaneous use. |
| Low occupancy | Seasonal closures, quiet periods and unused areas. |
| Occupied work | Guest disruption, working hours and temporary supply. |
01 / Planning priority
Identify the outlets and equipment connected to the storage system. Do not use a guest-room count as a complete description of the building’s demand.
02 / Planning priority
Ask the designer to consider simultaneous use alongside refill. Kitchen, laundry and shower demand may overlap.
03 / Planning priority
Plan isolation, delivery, noise-sensitive hours and commissioning with the operator. Check whether a temporary arrangement is required during replacement.
Specify the usable volume required by the design, then check the proposed top water and lower usable levels. The calculator can compare tank options and produce a technical planning PDF. It does not establish a hotel’s demand, guarantee a service duration or size a pool-treatment system.
WORKED-THROUGH PLANNING QUESTION
Review the two demand profiles and the planned distribution arrangement before selecting a tank. Keep safe access to the manway, valves and instruments after the booster and surrounding pipework are installed. Illustrative planning scenario.
Choose by the measured delivery route and installation layout, then confirm the selected product and duty.
A complete moulded body where the full delivery route works.
Separate body sections, with room to assemble and seal the joint.
Panels assembled in position; compare the base and fixing access.
TIF body height is limited to 3 m; other tank bodies to 4 m. Chambers, supports and maintenance headroom are additional. Final dimensions and access are agreed with Decca.
Decca helps select the tank and reviews the storage layout, service connections and permitted work programme with your team. We manufacture and supply the agreed tank and can quote for installation. Any testing, cleaning, disinfection and handover in our scope is agreed before work starts.
Share the information you already have. Mark unknown items for review rather than guessing them.
This page concerns cold water service storage. Pool balance, treatment and chemical exposure need a separate specification and material review.
The project team must agree the isolation and temporary-service plan. Tell Decca the operating restrictions when requesting a scope and programme.
The designer should assess the intended operating conditions, including busy and quiet periods, and justify the selected storage and management arrangements.

Application planning guidance. Product suitability, approval evidence and the final Decca drawing must be confirmed for the order. Water demand and complete system design remain with the responsible designer.
