Is IFB suitable?

  • A suitable flat, level support is available.
  • Side access is available for external wall fixings.
  • Compare TIF where surrounding walls restrict access.

How the base is joined

Base panels are bolted at internal flanges. The cutaway highlights these joints in red; the wall fixings remain external.

Plan installation with Decca

Decca helps select the IFB arrangement and reviews your drawings for internal base access and external wall working space. We manufacture and supply the agreed tank and can include installation in the quotation. Before work starts, we agree the installation responsibilities and any testing, cleaning, disinfection and handover included in our scope.

  • Confirm the full filled load and support with your structural designer.
  • Include levelling steelwork, cover and any chamber in the height check.
  • Keep the manway, valves and instruments accessible.
  • Allow for removing residual water when cleaning the flat base.

Your questions answered

Options include insulation, divisions, raised inlet chambers, connections and level monitoring. For divided tanks, specify the litres and fittings for each compartment. Continued service during maintenance depends on the complete system.

Keep the capacity basis with the required litres. The detailed calculator explains nominal, actual and usable storage and carries your assumptions into the enquiry.

Compare EFB for external base access on raised supports, IF for internal wall joints with a choice of base, and TIF for restricted perimeter space. IF supply cost is usually closer to TIF than standard IFB or EFB.
