Decca Plastics Limited was established by Derek and Margaret Peacock in June 1973, and is still a family run business today.

The business is now run by their two Sons; Managing Director, Shaun Peacock who is assisted by his brother and Operations Director, Kevin Peacock. Over the years the Company has grown to become a major force in Glass Reinforced Plastics which specialises in Water Storage Tanks.

Decca originally started out in the Garage at Derek and Margaret’s home at Sandringham Road in Walton-Le-Dale, Preston. The local telephone box was known as the Decca Office. Times were certainly different back then but the Decca motto ‘Adapt and Overcome’ has certainly held us in good stead. Derek was Decca Plastics, he manufactured, delivered and installed his tanks nationwide.

Margaret (the real boss) played a huge role in the business development. She was not only a massive support to Derek in the early years but instrumental in the growth of the business for many years and has had many roles from Accountant to the Company Secretary. Forty Four years later Decca is a successful business and now has three generations as part of the company, with Ben Dawson, Shaun’s Son working in the Sales and Marketing department.
